I love street photography in the rain. The reflections from the wet pavements and umbrellas make for interesting images. When it rains in Guangzhou, however, it is on a completely different level… when it rains it rains hard.
The forecast did not mention rain and I was without an umbrella. The monsoons hit nevertheless, and I ended up stranded under whatever cover I could find, sometimes for more than half an hour. I did, however, manage to come back with one of my favorite images this year; and it isn’t even black and white.
